Beenleigh Artisan Distillery

Wet Cast Concrete Bar

We learned our trade initially in Australia and we were lucky enough to win this project while there. The polished concrete bar crafted for Beenleigh Artisan Distillery in Brisbane is a testament to our craftsmanship and determination to meet the clients brief.

Australia’s oldest operating distillery holds a significant place in the country’s history, and our contribution to the visitor’s center adds to its allure. The use of polished concrete for the bar is a fitting choice, combining durability, aesthetic appeal, and a modern touch.

The wet cast, cast in-situ method demonstrates our ability to work with concrete on a larger scale and on-site, accommodating the unique requirements of the space. This approach ensures that the bar is seamlessly integrated into the environment, fulfilling the design criteria effectively.

The incorporation of a board-formed herringbone feature on the face of the bar adds a layer of visual interest that’s reminiscent of traditional craftsmanship. This combination of modern material and traditional pattern creates a blend of old and new, mirroring the history of the distillery itself.

The consideration for feature lighting showcases a thoughtful approach to the design. Lighting can significantly enhance the ambiance and visual impact of a space, making it more inviting and engaging.

As a hosting area for visitors, the bar holds a central role in the visitor experience. Its robust and large nature means that its built to withstand heavy usage while retaining its aesthetic appeal.

The term “impactful” accurately describes the effect that such a bar can have on the overall atmosphere. A well-designed and meticulously crafted bar can become a focal point that leaves a lasting impression on visitors.

This is a Wet Cast Concrete Bar project that is very memorable for us and we are happy to add this to our portfolio.
